News Stories Cup final success for Withernsea High’s U14 Girls’ Football Team. On Monday, 17th June, Withernsea High School’s U14 (Year 8 and 9) Girls’ Football team travelled to Hull’s St Mary’s College to represent the school in the U14 Humberside Small Schools Cup. Creative Arts Summer Showcase Following the success of last year’s debut event, the Creative Arts faculty are staging their second Summer Showcase at Middleton Hall, Hull University, on Friday 21st June. Mental Health Awareness Week At Withernsea High School, this year's Mental Health Awareness Week was marked with an assembly for students in Years 7 to 10 – led by a representative of the East Riding Mental Health Support Team. Year 10 Engineering Year 10 students have been working on garden-themed projects in Engineering this term. Firstly, making a bird box and then a gardening trowel. Board for Change - Latest Updates It's been a busy few weeks for the members of our student-led Board for Change. Work has included bike shed improvements, a mountain biking trip to Dalby Forest and peer-to-peer support for students accessing exercise opportunities. Board for Change Update: Active Travel Ambassadors oversee bike shelter improvements After consulting students across the school, our ATA's found that a number of their peers were opting out of travelling to school on a bike or a scooter due to lack of suitable parking space for scooters and worries over bike security.- Board for Change Update: Active Humber Ambassadors support girls accessing exercise
