Year 6 Transition
Formal Welcome Event - Thursday 23rd April 2026
We are pleased to invite you and your child to a formal welcome event on Thursday 23rd April, led by Mr M R Crofts, Headteacher. The event will take place in Withernsea High School’s main hall and will begin promptly at 5.30pm.
This approximately one-hour session will provide an overview of day-to-day life at the school, including routines, expectations and the support available. You will receive a comprehensive information pack containing key details about uniform and equipment requirements, communication platforms, and our cashless catering and payment systems.
You will hear from key members of staff regarding behaviour, rewards, wellbeing and personal development. While parents and carers meet with staff, our soon-to-be Year 7 students will have an opportunity take part in a selection of fun and engaging activities.
Refreshments, including tea, coffee and juice, will be available. As the event takes place at tea time, our dining hall will also be open and serving the following meal deal:
Chicken pie or vegan pie with mashed potato and vegetables, plus a selection of school puddings. £3.00 each (cash only).
Please confirm your attendance at the meeting and whether you intend to purchase food by emailing Miss Wiseman (Head of Year 7) at wisemanz@wscampus.net . In your email, please include your child’s name, their current primary school and the number of people attending.
Data and Consent Pack: Please remember to return your completed Data and Consent packs when you attend this event.
