Attendance

Reporting absences

If your child cannot be in school due to illness, you must contact the school on the first day of absence. Please do this before 8:45am and please remember to update the Attendance Officer on a daily basis.

Absences should be reported through the Class Charts app or via the absence line on 01964 611523.

Did you know?

Children who have a poor school attendance record may have less chance of securing a job when they are adults.

Research shows that missing 10% of school days negatively affects a student’s academic performance.

Pupils also miss out on the social side of school life. Poor attendance can affect children’s ability to make and keep friendships; a vital part of growing up.
