Compassion and creativity shared through Christmas tree decorations Compassion and creativity have combined to form the basis of this year’s Christmas tree decorations at Withernsea High School. Students learn about the importance of road safety and Active Travel Throughout November, students at Withernsea High School have benefitted from a number of events and activities focussing on road safety and Active Travel. Worldviews shared during Inter Faith Week A recent ‘Living Faith’ event offered students in Years 8 and 9 an opportunity to meet representatives from different faith groups, including Islam, Baha'i, Humanism, Christianity and Judaism, to learn about different worldviews. Thriving partnership celebrated at 'Active' conference The thriving partnership between Active Withernsea and WHS was one of the hot topics of conversation at a recent conference which invited attendees to learn about the work taking place to make Withernsea a healthier and more active town. Creative homework skills celebrated in Science As part of their recent studies in Science, students in Years 7 and 8 were set a creative homework task to demonstrate their learning of cells and atoms. - Year 11 Football: Withernsea 7 – Driffield 4
Congratulations to the Year 11 football team who, after a slow start, bounced back to win 7-4 against Driffield. Year 7 seven-a-side tournament Well done to our Year 7 footballers who finished fourth in a very strong seven-a-side tournament last night - Tuesday, 14th November. Remembrance at Withernsea High School Over 350 handmade poppies formed the centrepiece of this year’s Remembrance commemorations at Withernsea High School.
