Board for Change
The Board for Change has representatives from each year group and its members are actively involved in the life of the school.
Board for Change members:
- have the responsibility to make significant changes to our school community
- work supportively as part of a team to put across their points of view in a positive and constructive way
- help the school achieve its core purpose: ‘inspire confident young people to thrive in a changing world’
Many students become ambassadors for the school. Members meet on a regular basis to review and
develop the school’s provision and representatives also sit on sub-groups which are involved in many school, community, countywide and worldwide issues.
Members have previously been involved with visits to Parliament; visits of MPs to our school; reviewing and drafting school policy; developing the learning environment; providing extra social space for students; leading other schools in developing student voice; consulting students over school issues; and working with the Town Council and the Big Local on a variety of initiatives
