Where is the School Connexions office?
The connexions office is next door to
the Hair salon at the front of the school and can be accessed
during break or lunchtime to arrange an appointment.
Visits to the Connexions office during school lesson time is strictly by appointment only!
How can I make an appointment?
There are two ways of making an appointment with a personal adviser,
- Direct Self referral
- In direct referral from the school, parent or other support agency
1 Self referral
Most people who want to make a self referral to connexions either for a careers meeting or any other reasons, call into the drop-in that run at Break and Lunchtime most days, (subject to availability, see above). You can also contact us by email or telephone making sure that you leave a contact number that we can ring you back on. All our telephones are equipped with answer machines so if we don't answer immediately please leave a message so we can ring you back.
2 Indirect referral
Indirect referrals are usually made to Connexions by school teachers and support staff, this is often your year tutor or another member of the inclusion team. The young people referred this way have often talked to their year tutor, teacher and their parents and agreed to refer on to Connexions for support.
