1 Attendance

As a Post-16 student, the school expects your full compliance with the following:

1.        To attend all timetabled subject lessons and make positive contributions when in lessons.

2.        To attend all timetabled enrichment lessons  

3.        To arrive at lessons punctually. Students who are 5 or more minutes late for a lesson may not be allowed to enter the classroom and will be marked absent. This is to avoid unnecessary disruption to other student’s study.

4.        To attend all tutorials – these are once a week, on a set day with your Tutor and attendance is mandatory and recorded.

5.        To attend all organised General Study Days, University visits, UCAS application workshops, etc.

6.        To notify Mrs. Kirk, your Year Tutor, before 10:30 a.m. if you are ill and unable to attend lessons for that day.

7.        To complete a Self Certification Form immediately on return to school, following a period of illness.

8.        To inform Mrs. Kirk of a planned absence 2 days before the event and complete an Authorised Absence Form (making sure you provide appropriate written evidence)

9.        In cases of long term illness of more than 5 school days, arrangements must be made to collect work to be completed at home.

10.    To accept instruction & guidance regarding the completion of UCAS applications, and submit the applications for checking at least 10 working days before the UCAS deadline
