Governors' Awards 2019

Last Friday, parents and governors joined staff and students at Withernsea High School to recognise and celebrate a year of successes at the annual Governors' Awards Assembly.

The assembly brings the school community together at the very end of each academic year to celebrate achievement in all subjects across the curriculum.

This year's award winners were as follows:

Subject Awards
For outstanding work in individual subjects.

Whole School and Community Awards
The whole school awards recognise skills of initiative, independent thinking, team work and community responsibility, which will help students develop into good citizens and contribute to society as they move through life.

A selection of awards are sponsored by friends of the school or families of ex-students, who have wanted to make a positive contribution to the school to remember people who have connections with Withernsea High School.

It was a proud moment for her and her family as Leah is the niece of Janet Bearpark.
