'And the winner is... Dance!'

Following their 2019 celebration of pop icons and the characteristics that define them, the students of Withernsea High School returned to Hull University’s Middleton Hall last Friday night with a brand new dance production inspired by the stars of the silver screen.

‘And the winner is…’ took inspiration from a plethora of movie icons and the soundtracks synonymous with their biggest and best-loved films.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining our team of Exam Invigilators in supporting the school to ensure exam regulations and standards are adhered to.

The role includes the preparation of the exam room; the distribution and collection of exam papers and monitoring the exam hall to ensure that no unfair means are used by any student in relation to the exams.

We Will Rock You

Tickets are now on sale for Withernsea High School's amateur production of We Will Rock You.

The show, which combines the hit songs of Queen with a script by Ben Elton, will take place in the Main Hall on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th February.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced colleague to play a key role in teaching students in the vocational area of hairdressing, including regular assessment of the work and progress of students towards successful completion of the course. This is a temporary position to cover maternity.

Year 7 impress with model castles project

As part of their investigation into how William the Conqueror kept control of England after the Battle of Hastings, Year 7 students recently learned how the building of castles became an important tool in maintaining control across the country.

On the back of this study, students were tasked with creating their own castles in a style matching the designs of the era.

Year 7 homework cell-ebrated in Science!

As part of their recent studies in Science, Year 7 students were set a creative homework task to demonstrate their learning of plant and animal cells.

Tasked with building physical models, the students impressed the Science faculty with their in-depth knowledge and detailed designs made out of a wide range of materials.
