The Governors require for September 2018, a highly committed and talented Teacher of Maths to join our successful Maths Faculty.  If you are motivated by inspiring young people through creative and engaging teaching and wish to have a wider influence through management and leadership of the curriculum, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

We believe as staff and students, by working together we achieve more.  Withernsea High is a good and improving school serving the town of Withernsea and surrounding villages.  This post offers an opportunity to bring about ever-greater achievements for young people through their study of Mathematics and through the development of numeracy working as part of a successful and hardworking team.                                                                                   

You will join a supportive and experienced progress team and, through this group, have the chance to shape an exciting future for the young people of our school together with the opportunity to develop leadership skills as a second in faculty.  A temporary TLR is available until August 2019 with the potential to become a permanent appointment as Second in the Maths Faculty.

Ideally you will have:

• a clear understanding of the Mathematics curriculum and the teaching and learning of numeracy
• the ability to inspire students of all abilities to achieve more than they thought possible
• the skills and attributes to teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4
• proven ability to successfully lead projects
• the ability to identify and implement strategies to raise standards of teaching and learning.

Support staff vacancies

Position: Kitchen Assistant

Hours: 10 hours per week. 10:30am to 12:30pm, Monday to Friday. Term Time Only.

Type: Temporary until 31st December 2018

Salary: £8.55 per hour

Closing date: Tuesday 22nd May 2018


The successful candidate will be motivated, punctual and cheerful. 

As meals are transported to and from Withernsea Primary School there will be a certain amount of lifting required. 

A level 2 food hygiene certificate would also be an advantage.
