Team Withernsea set to tackle Hull 10K

On Sunday 10th June, a group of Withernsea High School staff members will take on one of the region’s most popular races as they join hundreds of other runners to compete in the Hull 10K.

Year 7 students make a splash during weekend residential

Last weekend, 83 students in Year 7 were given an opportunity to engage in a range of activities from raft building to climbing as they took part in the school’s annual residential trip.

'Films to Feminism': Guest speaker sparks debate with Year 10 and 12 students

On Monday 14th May, a group of students were given an opportunity to hear words of inspiration from guest speaker Pamela Dow who visited the school thanks to the work of a UK charity.

Launched in 2011, the Speakers for Schools charity helps to inspire young people and broaden their horizons by facilitating access to the insights and experiences of some of the country’s highest achieving individuals.

The Power Race

On Friday 4th May, 30 Year 8 students took part in ‘The Power Race’ - a STEM activity which explored the construction and efficiency of wind turbines.
