A similar feature about the new school also appears in the latest edition (Thursday 24th September) of The Holderness Gazette.
We are grateful to Trudi Davidson and Peter Harbour of the Hull Daily Mail, as well as Gina Hobbs and Terry Bearpark from the Holderness Gazette for these features.
Withernsea High School staff were today (9th Sept) given access to their new school after the building was officially handed over - marking the end of Phase One of the on-going rebuild and refurbishment works.
Deputy Headteacher Bob Wardman, the school's longest serving member of staff, was given the honour of being the first through the doors. He was eagerly followed by the rest of the staff who were keen to explore their new surroundings and begin the hard work of preparing their rooms for use ready for the return of the students on Monday.
Please click here for a short video showing a quick look inside parts of the building. More photos will follow over the coming few weeks.
