KS 4
OCR National in Sport (Level 2)
The OCR National in Sport is the option choice for students to follow in Key Stage 4. The qualification is worth the equivalent of two GCSE's (grade A*-C)
The course is entirely based around students putting together a portfolio of knowledge and skills and does not involve a final examination.
The OCR Level 2 National Award and National Certificate in Sport have been developed to provide candidates with an introduction to the skills, knowledge and understanding required to prepare for work in the sport sector. Physical Education in Years 10 & 11
During Year 10 and 11 students are given numerous options throughout the year to study sports and activities of their choice. This allows students full direction of where they would like to take their personal physical education. Hopefully this will lead to students developing interests that they will be able to continue when they have left school.
Students can choose from team games such as football, hockey, cricket and rugby, through to more individual activities such as badminton, aerobics or time in the fitness suite.
