1. Mission statement
The ICT department aims to equip students for the future. ICT is all pervasive in our society and is used in business, creative arts, communication, green technologies, science and industry.
2. Characteristics of department
ICT results are good and students achieve excellent results with the vast majority of our students achieving well over their GCSE target grades. The department is staffed by

3. Student activities
Students learn how to critically use a range of applications software, for instance, Microsoft Excel, Access and Macromedia fireworks.
Students are encouraged to think carefully about audience, fitness for purpose and question the validity of information.
A range of many learning styles occur in ICT lesson, ranging from individual tasks, group work, shared questioning and extended projects.
